Inspired in part by Hiroshi Hamasaki's and Chiaki J. Konaka's 'Texhnolyze', the record plays with the idea of false hopes of self-optimization.

Theonormals have achieved perfection in a more 'perfect' way than Shapes. They did not need to sacrifice anything. Having abandoned Texhnolyze technology, they ‘optimized‘ their genetic makeup. Through this method, they rendered themselves imperious to any physical damage by taking pain, sicknesses, and mental illnesses out of the equation.

Heaven is not the infinite paradise some have imagined it to be, because while it is a place of happiness and perfection, it is also a place completely devoid of sadness, which is, from whatever perspective you look at, a very essential part of everything human.
